Treatment Information

Dermaplaning is a non-invasive exfoliation technique that gently removes vellus hair and dead skin cells, giving skin an instantly smoother, brighter look as well as improving absorption of products into the skin.

Dermaplaning is a safe (if the therapist is properly trained) and effective physical exfoliation procedure. It uses a sterile, surgical scalpel to gently “shave” the skin’s surface, removing the top-most layer of dead skin and fine, vellus hair (peach fuzz).

By removing the fine vellus hairs that can get clogged in makeup, it give a smoother look to the skin, reflected in pictures and videos.

By removing the top layer of dead skin this allows for up to 80% more product absorption of skincare products. Due to this and it being a non chemical exfoliation, dermaplaning is an ideal treatment to perform prior to other treatments such as laser, chemical peels or microneedling.
